Hey, there's a whole bunch of money about to be invested in education, and there are committee's discussing what's best to do with it. I think students need to get involved. I started a discussion in the forum, please come share your thoughts.

Hey Diane! I am working on the SSO Safety group, and we are focusing on Trust and Bullying in schools. I was curious if you could post some experiences or thoughts about bullying and how we can work to take down the issue in our Minneapolis Public Schools! If you post, you are automatically entered to win a BRAND NEW SONY CAMCORDER! Thank you, and hope to hear from you soon on the School Safety Forum section under groups of the Students Speak Out page!

Hey Diane!
I definitely love filmmaking...I'd love to do it as a career, but if not, I'll always make movies for fun. :) Talk to you later!!

Diane,

I see below that you've been to SSO recently. I hope you'll get involved again! We've got 67 members now. The MPS Enrollment Facts are up, and so are the survey findings. There's a new look for the site, too. There are also a lot of really interesting conversations happening in the forums -- and I know students would like to have more adults involved and listening. Please give us a spin!

I love how your page is all customized; and that you chose the beach and palm trees theme. Did you do that on the Apr 2 snow day?

I saw you started a conversation with Frances. That's cool. She had a really clear message. We should try and get those kind of comments in the forums, too. It took me a second, admittedly, to understand the whole chatterwall thing.

Big night for MN sports fans - Twins home opener, MN Wild at the Xcel and the T-Wolves playing in the Metrodome tonight. The Wolves didn't manage to pull through but Twins' and Wild fans are celebrating still, no doubt.

What's going on

Hi everyone,

I'm excited we've got this thing going!

I've been involved with a lot of different organizations that try to empower youth, so I'm interested to see how we can make sure the voices of young people are heard. Students spend most of their time at school and in classes - why shouldn't they have some say in how they spend their time or what they do during the school day?

Paz,
D
