Students Speak Out

Students Speak Out: Minnesota

- Almost everybody who went to an ALC school was "At Risk"

- People felt like the ALC school was like a family.

- People from the high school view us as "bad kids."

- Many students dropped out because they didn't like the high school.

- When people got to the ALC they were surprised at what really was there.

Two things that I learned while watching these videos was that i didnt know there were ALC schools 15 years ago. The other thing that i learned was that bigger ALC schools are almost exactly similiar to smaller ALC schools.

Joe, these are interesting. I'm going to try my hand at it (doing conclusions), but the one thing that you hit on that I also noticed was the feeling of "family" at the ALCs--something I suspect is very important.
