Hate speech in schools
An ongoing issue at Avalon School is use of the word "faggot". The GSA has tried posters to confront the issue, but it hasn't done a thing. We are now planning to have anti-homophobia workshops at the end of this school year and the beginning of next. What do you think would be an effective way to get through to kids that words like that are not okay?

This is a good question! Why don't you go invite some of the other students to join this group and start talking? (Just go to their MyPages). I think there are lots of people who are interested in this topic, but they don't necessary check the forums in each group.
